Easy method to cook quinoa
Many quinoa recipes use quinoa that has already been been cooked and prepared before including in a recipe. This is why you hear people talking about cooking quinoa twice. The finished result is used with mexican, african and asian dishes instead of the usual rice and cous cous. You can also eat the quinoa cold in salads. By adding chopped vegetables such as cucumber, leaf salad and rocket you have a lovely meal.
Step 1
Rinse the quinoa in a fine seive with cold water. Do this a second time to make sure the saponin coating is completely removed. When quinoa is unprocessed you need to rinse it completely in this way to be sure of getting the best results.
Step 2
Measure out one cup of quinoa to two cups of water into a saucepan.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to the boil, stirring gently to ensure it does not stick to the pan. the boiling water can be turned down to a simmer and the quinoa will grow in size in the saucepan. If yuou want it crunchy then ten minutes will be enough – if you want it soft and fluffy then leave it to cook for longer. When all the water is absorbed you know that the quinoa is cooked and readt to serve. When the water is absorbed the quinoa increases in size by double. Take the pan with the quinoa off the cooker.
Step 4
Your quinoa is now ready to serve as a substitute for rice with curry and other dishes. You can also include it as a part of one of your regular meals. Qunioa is very forgiving in flavour and fits in with all types of different foods and recipes. The crunchiness and frimness of this grain makes a meal satisfying and filling.
It is also ready to include in the recipes that are in the quinoa recipes book.
Is there a way to mix falsetto and normal voice?
I wanna know if there's a way to mix or blend my falsetto with my chest/modal/normal(same thing) voice, so that the flip or crack or transition between these two is smooth. Is there a way i can do this?
The variation of your terminology is known to me. It comes from the speech and linguistic side of voice training. It can be misleading to people brought up, so to speak, on a different vocabulary. Most young people today speak of chest and head voice, reserving the term falsetto for that special area of a man's voice where he sounds either very young or imitating a woman's voice.
For women, the term head voice is better known. The bridge between the two sounds is a tricky area for all singers, and takes time and patience to smooth out. The best way to go about this is to pay strict attention to exactly the notes in your voice where this occurs. It will turn out to be very regular.
when you know where these notes are ( probably around the Eb or F 4 on the keyboard), you can start looking through your repertory. Start gently humming or singing through your songs, watching out for the regularity of the switch. When you know that the switch is coming, start easing off the drive or power of your modal, or chest voice. this enables the larynx to make the switch more smoothly.
The best thing is to have a singing teacher train you through this. You get instant feedback, personalized, in a way you cannot from DVDs or books. You get to concentrate on how it feels, and the teacher will do the listening for you. When the two of you agree- you tell her it feels right, she tells you it sounds right, for example- then you learn that bit of information by heart, so that you can always recreate the feeling. It's never good to leave it up to chance, is it?
