Replacing gas valve- Water heater?
Hello all,
I have a gas water heater and the flame was staying lit. So i changed out the thermocouple but sadly it's still not staying lit. The copper wire heats up very slowly and the other end that goes into the valve is cold. I looked into the glass door and it seems like the thermocouple is in the flame.
Does this mean I will have to change the gas valve? or thr could be something else wrong?
I looked online for a universal valve but that will take 5 days to get to me. I looked on ACE website and they have these

You mentioned a glass door - is this a relatively new water heater? If so, your best course of action is to call the manufacturer and get a warranty repair, or at least talk to someone in the tech help dept.
