The Universal Rules of Dating
One of the most important aspects of dating is that one must listen to attentively 90% and speak only 10% during the time of dating and that very aspect is the most neglected one during the dating and this has been viewed and noted down by this writer. If you talk to a man about him, then he would listen for hours and this was said by Mr. Benjamin Disraeli, a former British prime minister who was famous for his attractive tendency. A common mistake when dating is being too concerned with ourselves and our ego to actually stop trying to seek approval and to start to listen and give approval to others.
We should ask ourselves the question why we go for dating or that why am I dating, after fully establishing the basis of the same. In my opinion, it is because we feel we need a person to share our lives with and to love.
With this in mind, let's move to the important step of dating: knowing someone well enough. It's difficult to know someone completely without inquiring of them. When on a date, you must be an investigator; you can’t love someone if you don’t know them and you may not want to be with the respective person once you get to know them.
One line we always take for granted: Just be yourself. All of us have heard about the same. You might misinterpreted what being yourself means. You should be congruent with your principles and internal values is what it actually meant. You must be specific, say and do whatever you thinks is right.
Honesty shows you are being yourself. Now, one may think he is honest, but he isn’t even honest with himself. If you are honest you should stop being proud and start saying what actually you think. Go ahead and give it a try. If someone asks something you don’t want to answer, you are not obligated, just say you feel uncomfortable answering the respective question, you should only say what you want. This is what being honest really means. Do it completely and consistently and you will start being yourself you will stop being anxious about meeting a person. Of course, you must keep in mind, being honest does not mean being rude.
Everyone may not be brave enough, because it's easier said than done. You are the only one who can keep yourself out of fear prison. Thomas Edison developed at least 10,000 incorrect ways to construct a light bulb. He made an honest attempt and messed up along the way, but he learned from his mistakes. Put your fears aside and try talking honestly with your date. After you are honest with your date, you will see that they open up their hearts too.
Here's another topic to discuss: harmony. Harmony is very important on a date. First: physical harmony. They dress harmoniously when people dress to impress. Observe how crucial this aspect is. The second one is mental; you must be in a good state when dating because your mood usually dictates your body language and people seem to know when other people are angry or afraid. An individual's attitude can be pretty infectious too. A little example of this: When someone’s hamster passes away and suddenly they hear a knock at the door and they find out their friend just won the lottery and is jumping around, the strongest emotion prevails and they both start jumping around joyously.
Believe in yourself is another thing that needs to be mentioned. You wouldn’t have been out on a date with a person who didn’t like you. If you are not interested, about the person then you can leave, any how they can change their attitude. After all, you must be nice to yourself too.
