Exclusive Chinese Drywall Data
During the housing boom, far more than 500 million pounds of possibly defective Chinese gypsum board was imported to the United States. Several sources estimate that sufficient material to create around 100,000 homes.
In 2004 there was a shortage of gypsum board, since of the housing boom. Hurricane Katrina produced the gypsum board shortage even worse, with desperate homeowners inside the Gulf States wishing to rebuild their homes. U.S. homebuilders had already been importing Chinese drywall. As a result contractors were forced to source supplies from wherever possible. In parts of Florida, Virginia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, DC Metro areas, New York, New Jersey, Washington, along with the Western Provinces of Canada this product was introduced. The use of Chinese gypsum board was not for value or quality reasons, but purely induced by supply. Most of this product is believed to be in houses built in between 2004 and 2007.
Several months ago, the CPSC released interim guidance on the identification of Chinese drywall. The CPSC itself admits that further development of an identification protocol is necessary. Let's take a speedy appear at the steps recommended by the CPSC.

To date, most of the gypsum board complaints have come from southern states, exactly where a warm, humid climate encourages the emission of sulfur fumes. It is most likely that gypsum board applied in drier, cooler places of the country, it could be years before homeowners start seeing the difficulties linked using the material.
The result of these chemicals and compounds will be the slow release of gases from the drywall into the home's air.
What's the old adage - If it ain't broke, don't fix it. As an individual who owns the home, the loss has already occurred. There is no additional protecting you or your loved ones financially.
Gypsum board is created with fly ash - a waste product of coal burning - could possibly supply a clue. The procedure of "scrubbing" the smokestack emissions creates calcium sulfate, or gypsum, which can then be used to make drywall. In the U.S., gypsum board is also made from fly ash, but the material is taken from the smokestack, where it is scrubbed. But in China, the fly ash may perhaps have been obtained before it made its strategy to the smoke stack, based on the Associated Press research studies, this creates a "less refined" product.
Chinese drywall reportedly emits sulfur fumes that produce a "rotten eggs" odor. There is an incredible concern that the possibility of Chinese drywall is emitting excessive amounts of hydrogen sulfide fumes and ammonia gas, which can cause extreme irritation, unconsciousness and possibly death.
Now, if I had been contemplating the buy of a new home, the absence of visible corrosion wouldn't even begin to give me peace of mind. In this situation, I would be looking for a way to shield myself from entering into a situation that would cause the loss. I would want a guarantee that the property I am taking into consideration doesn't contain Chinese dry wall. If the residence did not contain corrosion, it would pass the CPSC's guidance. Would the CPSC then reimburse me for my losses if the household later ended up containing Chinese drywall? I assume we all know the answer to that one.
If the property is cleared by this test and later observed to contain Chinese drywall, the related insurance would cover the losses.

Is cultivation also included with possession ?
I live in Virginia and the current laws for Salvia is possession and consumption are illegal does possession account for just cultivating or is cultivation its own entity ? It would make sense that cultivation would be illegal because in order to cultivate it you need to posses it at one point in time. But does possession mean dried plant material with intent to consume ?
You necessarily possess when you cultivate, but you would also be charged with manufacturing.
