Another work week. People to see, calls to make, errands to run, and to-do lists to complete. My hectic life tends to keep me focused on the urgent and not on the important things in life. Sometimes things seem to get so frantic that I completely forget about who and where I am.

God wanted the Israelites to remember who and where they were too. After they had left Egypt, God instructed Moses to tell the people..

You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Ex. 19:4-6 NIV

Like the Israelites we too have been carried on eagles’ wings our of our bondage to sin. Adopted by God. Now as adopted children, we obey and are blessed. He has made us into a holy priesthood and treasured possessions.

We like those before us need to be reminded of the eagles’ wings. They change everything.

God would want us to pray and keep him first in all we do. Maybe that’s why we forget who and where we are. I like your blog but we have to pray and keep him UNO.
